The White Flag special Ocean Communication, Educational, and Promotional System - OCEPS - is used in plastic-free protected marine areas that have been physically cleaned by divers, such as beaches, marinas, national parks and wild areas, and it is also integrated into the local government infrastructure. This is in order to raise awareness of protected and cleaned marine areas, to stop further pollution by the local population and to raise ecological awareness among visitors.
