OACM launch at Malta next year
The OACM (Ocean Alliance Conservation Member) project will be officially launched in March of 2018 at Malta. Heads of countries, prime ministers, and royal families will gather at the official launch ceremony where Prince Albert II of Monaco will present the OACM project and country members. Soon, we will announce more than 7 countries that have earned their membership in this alliance. Malta will host Croatia, France, Italy, Monaco, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina... Malta will also present itself as the host and a proud OACM member.
There are very strict rules and policy in place for becoming an OACM member. This policy is based on proving the act of intervention in nature (oceans, lakes, and rivers). To become a member, a country has to submit its existing certified clean marine areas and SAFE Whiteflag beaches that are available for public use. OACM recommends the minimum size of these areas divided into different categories. Each country needs to expand these certified marine areas and follow the newly created standard and policy of the OACM research department.
